I lie and say I have a job because it’s proven you’re more likely to be hired

I show up to interviews wearing old outfits from past places I’ve worked. This has worked well for me and I almost always get a call back. By acting like you have a job you seem more desirable and less desperate. I figure they’ll lie to me anyway so why not. Simply put your last employer down and then say you don’t want them to be contacted and act like you’re almost too busy for an interview in the first place. It’s like a guy convincing a girl he’s more desirable than he is, same concept
