People expect you to kiss your ass, so I always turn the conversation in a way that makes them feel awkward.
I work in a pharmacy.
——
Some guy came in and was angry that his doctor didn’t send his RX over, and SPIT to me “I think it’s time for ME to get a new pharmacy!”
And I’m sure he wanted me to be like, “oh no, we’ll figure this out blah blah blah”
I decided to tell him about each of the local pharmacies: insurances , phone numbers, and locations.
I could tell he wanted me to shut up and carry on with the transaction, but I’m a bitch who likes to watch people squirm so I kept going.
I mentioned Walgreens in another town and he said “Now I wish THAT was here” and I replied “me too! I love Walgreens!”
He got so uncomfortable with my reaction. I loved it.

Some guy was getting violent towards me and now whenever he comes I don’t acknowledge him and he is left standing there for literally tens of minutes until he leaves. Fuck you, dude. Find a new pharmacy, bitch? You can’t just physically hurt people and expect no retaliation?

There is this guy that comes in and always does racist rants about Mexicans. I tell him every time I see him “I don’t want to have to check you out right now, and I especially don’t want to listen to you talk.” He’s crazy though, so he’ll keep going on. I’m telling him I don’t like it, so that’s something.
(I don’t want him to shoot me, so there’s only so much I can do with that one.)
