So I told my job my roommates have Covid and I need to get a test before I come in. They told me to come in anyways and wear a mask then get tested after work. This seems unsafe and tests are expensive now ($70 in my area) so if im expected to come in when I might have Covid, then I’m not going to get a test at all, maybe an at home but I’ve heard those can be inaccurate anyways. I’ll just wear a mask for the next two weeks or whatever. Is this normal? Is this safe? Is my job breaking some sort of osha code or something?
Edit to add: I work in food and will be preparing fully cooked food to be bagged and placed on shelves while having suspected Covid. This seems really unsafe to me.
