I went to the ER last month after having some rough chest pains, a month later exactly a day after my due date for this bill it comes in the mail. Even with insurance this is the next 3 months of my rent gone. All they did was a EKG and a saline injection. There's no billing department in my local hospital anymore so I can't pay it off in payments. Now all billing goes to some sketchy place 6 towns over. Fuck America. What the fuck should i do? I can't afford 3k worth of medical debt turning into 6k in a few months or collections hitting me.
