I put in my notice

I’m not gonna lie, I am a little sad about losing the money. I have been working two full time WFH jobs since April. I did offer to work part time for the rest of August to “help” my supervisor out because I was going to miss the money lol. She eagerly agreed, but HR shot her down. This was once a fairly decent place to work—the head MD did actually treat everyone like family and regularly paid out bonuses, held lavish dinner parties with good alcohol, even paid employees out of his own pocket during COVID shut down. Then he sold the practice. On the one hand there were a lot of positive changes. Then he sold the practice. On the one hand there were a lot of positive changes. As a result of being a “family” the head MD did not like to fire anyone….he once had someone steal tens of thousands of dollars from him over a year period and he did not press charges against her. He also was not the best at creating an environment for compliance….which when you’re bringing in 5 million per quarter, is a problem.

On the other hand, they got rid of bonuses. They are a lot stingier with pay raises. And there is no training to speak of but they will definitely fire you if you do your job incorrectly.

08/04 is my last day. I am the only person who does my job. 3 other employees in my department (of only 15 people) are also leaving the same day, and my friend who also works there has been interviewing elsewhere.

Since I do work from home, I’m going to send a “sorry for your loss” cake to the office on my last day.
