So I just quit my job at wingstop, I’ll give more context. So I had been promised a promotion two months ago and I never received it. Come to find out they promoted two people that hadn’t even worked there as long as I have. One of them that got the promotion has been blatantly disrespectful to me and other coworkers and even customers. The store has received multiple customer complaints about her and they just still allow her to be a manager. I was being overworked and strung along because my GM knew I was still going to do the work in hopes I would get promoted. I had been belittled, disrespected, and berated by coworkers and managers. I even got sexually harassed at work by a coworker (yes I did go to HR and get him fired but still not okay.) But today was the last straw. I’m always scheduled to come in at 9am to do prep and setup line, normally the managers are a little late by like 5/10 minutes but today I waited outside for a manager to open for almost an hour! No one called or messaged me to say “hey running late but I’m on my way.” Like they normally would. But nothing, no one ever showed so I left. I’ve been wanting to quit for awhile because of all the things stated above but I just don’t see the sense in waiting that long for a manager to show up and open. Especially when they are scheduled to be there at 8am to open. Now I’m home and waiting for the calls and text messages to flood in asking me where I am.
