I started working at a daycare about a month ago and I witnessed my lead teacher in the one year olds class room strike a kid over the head with a block three times because he was hitting another kid. This is obviously not ok so I brought this to the directors attention as well as my states CPS as per the law requires me to do. It’s been a week and nothings been done, the teacher is still in the class like nothing happened. The kid was literally a year old and this full grown adult is in here hitting him. I might leave this job soon if this is how they handle these situations. I get we are understaffed but don’t keep the abusers on payroll because you couldn’t find someone adequate for the job.
If nothings done about this soon I might solve it my own way. I wonder what the parents who bring their kids to the daycare would think about teachers hitting their kids?
