I rescinded my job application

I am currently doing an unpaid internship to complete my degree requirements. They encouraged me to apply for a position, so I submitted my resume and wrote a cover letter. My first red flag was that they didn’t interview me when they said they would. My shift was from 8-1 and they said they would interview me at 10:30. They ended up interviewing me at 12:30. This may seem small but if I as a candidate showed up late to an interview, I would not be hired. The next red flag was that they didn’t get back to me by the following week like they said they would. Now, it’s been over 2 weeks since they said they would get back to me. Because of this, I rescinded my application. If I as a worker am held to a certain standard of professionalism, then my employer should be as well.…

This job requires college education but they only pay $15 an hour. Working there would be more trouble than it’s worth and I just don’t want to be disrespected. The supervisor at this internship also asks me to come in for more hours as if I don’t have another job that actually pays me.
