Been at this company almost 5 years with no issue, then 2 days ago my new director came at me with all these things he says I'm doing poorly, sent a long 5pm email to me today (friday) reiterating that, said “we'll continue this discussion on monday” followed by the calendar invite.
I just bought my first place which wasn't cheap, and I've never been fired before. And for some reason I'm absolutely freaking out.
Even if I don't get the slip on Monday, I'm just so sick of corporate america. At the snap of a finger you can just suddenly not have a job and be completely fucked in a country that considers you – an unemployed person – the lowest form of life.
