Antiwork

I used to be a capitalist. Being in HR/Finance changed my mind.

I work with businesses owners, some of them are small people struggling to keep the lights on, and a few of them are mega-moguls who do every evil trick they can to screw over their workers and customers. My company has the whole “do the right thing” bullshit core values, but management has told me to go with what the client wants, like not paying everything due to the workers (mostly young people). I see every single penny that moves through these businesses and it makes me sick sometimes. There are people out there who actually don't do anything except take from people who have nothing. I've quit 2 jobs before for bad ethics from management, and it's about to be #3. This system is broken and there are a small number of legitimately evil people who screw over 1000's of others so they can take $20 from their poorest…

I've quit 2 jobs before for bad ethics from management, and it's about to be #3. This system is broken and there are a small number of legitimately evil people who screw over 1000's of others so they can take $20 from their poorest employees. I'm scared that if I report them to their state departments of labor, that nothing will happen and I'll just get screwed and sued for violating NDAs and stuff.

I know plenty of respectable and honest business owners, but the system doesn't reward them and instead incentivizes people to be ruthlessly evil so that a small number of sociopaths end up controlling so many people's lives.
