I was fired directly prior to annual bonus

So this is a strange one but I'm after reading a lot of posts on this sub I'm definitely curious to ask if any of you have input. I was fired at the very end of February, two weeks prior to our annual bonuses being paid which are based on the prior calendar year's work and contribute to that year's compensation, etc. I was accused of some very false things and also was the target of a vendetta by a direct report above me. When the HR conversations came, I was led to believe that the person directly told them to fire me and also discovering immediately after that bonuses were paid, I also believe I was terminated to save what would have been a $16k bonus (which consequently was paid to my replacement they promoted who had a bonus structure that would've yielded $8k, and saving them that amount…

When the HR conversations came, I was led to believe that the person directly told them to fire me and also discovering immediately after that bonuses were paid, I also believe I was terminated to save what would have been a $16k bonus (which consequently was paid to my replacement they promoted who had a bonus structure that would've yielded $8k, and saving them that amount upon my termination). There was no writing in my contract I signed almost 6 years prior about negating any bonuses or any PTO (which I also left 4.5 weeks on the table when departing) upon termination or vacancy of position.

I'm simply wondering if, even almost 6 months later, there's any legal action or action at all that I can take to try to receive the due bonus pay for the work I did to earn that from the calendar year of 2022 or even get anything for my lost PTO? I had several direct reports above me that were in the meetings point out that none of the HR issues had merit which more so makes me believe the termination was targeted and to save a payout. Any help would be appreciated!
