This has never happened to me. I was just fired without cause. I feel a retaliation fire for putting in a complaint against my coworker. I really don't care. She seemed to hate I existed and I really didn't care about the job.
So I'm fine with it emotionally and mentally but the thing is- they offered six weeks severance and want me to sign a release. I have not signed. I have heard I shouldn't until I contact legal advice but if it's just gonna be the same result or something not worth pursuing I will sign. I am NOT thinking I am entitled to extra money. I just want clarification on what I'm signing. Seems some sort of non disclosure agreement but to my understanding is pretty standard in these situations.
Anyone been in this situation?
