. . . the day after I spent over $200 at my former workplace.
I managed a casual fine dining restaurant for a few months. The family owns not only the restaurant, but the entire office park as well. I never recieved so much as a verbal warning for anything: no disciplinary actions were ever taken, no warnings about my job performance. I regularly showed up 10-15 minutes early. I cared about my job. I enjoyed my job. And I now, without any warning, I have to worry about how I'm going to feed my daughter.
They looked me in my eyes, smiled, and took my money as they trained a new hire to do my job. And yet they had the audacity to complain about people quitting with no notice because of their ridiculous policies.
Fuck that place. And those people.
