I was forced to take a $20k/yr paycut because someone else complained I ‘make too much”

As title says, I work in IT and have 3 years of experience and make decent money. Back in April I was brought into my boss' office suddenly where he eventually got to the point of saying that 'people are complaining about your pay' and that I need to tell him who've I've discussed my compensation with at the company. My initial thought was, 'its none of your business if I told anyone or not.' My second thought was 'why are you entertaining conversation with my coworkers (in a different department I'm assuming) about my compensation?' I've always believed a managers only legal response to someone asking about someone else's pay is, “its none of your business.” So recently, because I've put in my two weeks notice, I've gotten the full story when initially I wasn't told the real reason. So recently, because I've put in my two weeks notice, I've gotten the full story when initially I wasn't told the real reason. Those of you with labor law experience, do I have a valid complaint I can make with the NLRB and hopefully get wages back paid?
