I've been applying to positions in my field, but also part time positions not related, to pay bills.
During an interview 2 weeks ago, they tried ending the interview without discussing wage. I had to cut them off and ask what the pay was. After the rant of how he worked his way up a similar position in 4 short years, the pay was stated as below minimum wage. Knowing this was all just terrible, I was curious what they would say to a request for $1 over minimum wage. i
I was told he would forward it to HR, but that they are slow and it may take days to get an answer.
No contact has been made since the interview. And I know that my abilities were above the position, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't have worked to my fullest.
To me, it just shows how greedy some companies can be and what they're trying to get away with, hoping people will take their crumbs because they're in a bad situation.
