My managers last words: “See-ya”

Everyone that knew I was leaving came and hugged me goodbye, told me good luck. The senior practice manager, practice manager, three attending’s, several of the residents, all of the Medical assistants and support staff, Project managers and coordinators, admin people I had barely met, receptionists, etc. The practice manager hugged me multiple times, along with some of the MA’s and receptionists. I had only been there 9 months and I got a promotion to a different department. My team lead, who has been in the same position for 10 years and got passed over for a promotion a few months ago hadn’t spoken to me all week. Her last words were “See ya” as she typed from her computer without even looking up or turning around.
