I was “quite fired” for having an opinion

M,32, I was a production manager for a pool chlorinator company for 3 years, I fell in line most if the time and git paid the minimum wage for what I did. But one day I had enough, the units we were making started getting returned fir rusting issues fir the case screws, they were 10c cheap Chinese crap! So, I went to the boss about it, and asked them to start buying better screws and I was promptly shut down and scolded fir having an “opinion”. The next day I had a meeting with the owner, without reason, they put me on a part time contract (its 100% legal) and gave me a two week notice before it started. I had over 300 hour of leave saved up and they wanted me to quit so they didn't have to pay it. So, for 2 weeks they made count screws,…
