Hey everyone,
I have been applying to jobs for the past few months and only got radio silence from employers. I worked at Popeyes most of high school and hated every second of it but was raised on the principles of “if you don’t work, you don’t eat”. I worked as a barista for 3 months after Popeyes and then was able to get a seasonal job as a packer in a Amazon warehouse. After they let me go in April of this year, I’ve been living off savings and financial aid from being a full time student. While actively looking into finding employment because I am only in school because I saw it as a way to stall for time till I found a career path that I wouldn’t hate doing for at least 5-10 years but after being told by 214 jobs that I’m not qualified for anything other then retail. (which I still haven’t heard back from any retail jobs) I don’t want a job, every time I open my phone people my age or younger are saying how they make 20k a month from their couch on their phones! Am I missing something or just too stupid to understand? Or is there a legit way for someone to gain financial freedom without having to work a 9-5 for 30+ years? I’m not looking for a get rich quick scheme but just a way for me to make decent money without giving my time to some big corporation that doesn’t give a fuck about me.
