According to my employer I’m required to be in FULL COMPLETE UNIFORM when I am en route from the workplace to my home, and have been spoken to about changing my clothes before leaving the building. For reference, my uniform is considered a federally controlled uniform item (I work for security but I will not be naming the specific industry I do security for) and it is also uniform policy to not wear the uniform in public.
After wrapping my head around this several times, I still don’t understand why I am required to be in full uniform and cannot change into normal clothes when I am off duty and leaving the premises.
Can anyone provide further explanation for this shit policy, or are they just idiots looking for easy ways to hand out disciplinary notices??
