If I have to have one more conversation about being back in the office more I’m going to quit

My boss will not fucking let this go! I’m a senior national manager for a large international company. I have a team of 11 people. All introverted, hardworking, conscientious wonderful writers. I work REALLY hard to protect them from corporate bullshit. They come in two days a week which I approved and I stand behind. They all have things in their lives that require flexibility; e.g. single parent duties, elderly parent care duties, severe transport anxiety, etc. I let them work from home as often as they need to. I just don’t get why being back in the office isn’t enough! They have to be excited about it too!!! My boss is constantly making comments about where people are. She knows where they are. And every-time I explain why (sick kid, sick grandparent, they have 18 hours of work to cram in a day that they get paid 8 hours…

And every-time I explain why (sick kid, sick grandparent, they have 18 hours of work to cram in a day that they get paid 8 hours for) she accuses me of making excuses. Now I’m supposed to promote it to my team and talk about how great it is being in an office! So collaborative!!! I feel like I’m losing my mind over this. I fucking hate it and it’s making me hate my job.
