Im a restaurant manager and my 4 year old son has the Flu. This was my senior managers response.

I rarely miss work and often go above and beyond what’s required of me at my job because I care. Our GM isn’t very communicative, so I texted the group chat of the three other managers I work with. My son has the flu and I didn’t have child care. I have 1 sick day left (I have Covid previously in the year). I’m just so upset these people I have built a good working relationship with would respond this way. For perspective I’m the only woman and the only one with small children out of five managers. They give us sick days and vacation time for a reason!
