I had a vacation this week but something stressful happened that caused me to cancel the trip and due to the anxiety of the situation, I had an IBS flare up and was sick. There’s no cure so I didn’t go to the doctor. I just have to wait it out.
I ran out of sick time so I used vacation time but for some reason I’m being asked for a doctor’s note. This is being asked of me since I didn’t give a two weeks notice for my “vacation” (though it’s not like it was an inconvenience since they were already expecting me to be out two days this week for the vacation I had to cancel.)
I used two days of vacation time this week for sickness which just happened to align with a two week request off last week for menstrual pain, so it was 4 consecutive days out. (Last week I took my 2 days as 1.5 sick days and .5 vacation days)
