Okay so… first job, first resignation – getting the F out after 6.5 years. No clue why I'm on this sub when I should be rehearsing my little speech.
EDIT: Took a breathe and dived right in. I thought my supervisor would give more of a fu*k than he did. He is the one reason I am leaving. I loved this place, the people I work with and the work itself. My prior supervisor – great lady, very knowledgeable in the field, was a pleasure to work with and for. I would've went above and beyond for her. Unfortunately, she lost her fight versus cancer. She was replaced with this current fool of a supervisor. He gives no clear direction, no feedback, he isn't involved in anything. Not sure why he is a supervisor to begin with. He essentially just said 'ok', 'ok', and 'ok'. However, the heat will be on him going forward – I have a good reputation among folks. People will be scratching their heads while also knowing what the reason for my departure was.
EDIT 2: Oh he now just asked me 'What Change?' because… wait for it… 'THEY will want a reason from me as to why you're leaving'. What a joke! He doesn't give two crap himself, he just wants my reason to answer to his superiors.
