Red means off. My entire week last week was normal. However, as soon as my schedule was posted for the week of 05/15-05/21, I just knew I was fired. I’ve tried texting and calling my boss, but she’s refusing to answer. No idea why.
I always showed up to work on time, in my uniform, and always did as I was told. Somehow, that warrants retaliation for me moving out of a very expensive area.
Boss, we all know you’re severely underpaying your managers; you know you’re robbing them of money by the hundreds. And we all know you hire 85% teenagers because they’re cheaper. Let’s not forget the blatant OSHA violations, either (who the fuck stores cups on the shelf directly under the 8’ ceiling and doesn’t provide a ladder to get them???).
You’re not slick. You’re not even hiding your indecency and eagerness to cut corners. You’re not a “cool boss” and stop claiming to be one.
I’ve learned to never put in a two week notice from this experience. You just get punished for “doing the right thing.” In case anyone is wondering what company this is, it’s a fast food chain that shares its name with a very popular video game character.
