“I’m not a fan of 2 Week Notices”

“I’m not a fan of 2 Week Notices, because employees slack off while waiting for their new job”. The line said to me by my boss when I submitted my notice to an organization I’ve been working at for a year and a half. The manager tried to pressure me into quitting that day and I told him that I intend to work until the date on my notice. My manager said he is going to be monitoring me very closely over the next couple weeks to make sure my production does not decrease. I hate corporate America. I did this to their benefit so they could reassign appointments I have to other employees without having to crunch last second. Lesson learned. Note to self: Never ever leave a 2 week notice.
