I’m not going to give you a two week notice because your opinions on “grass isn’t greener on the other side” is toxic.

So I made a post on ECEprofessionals as I was one and it is in my post history if you want to see why I quit. TLDR on the post: lead teacher said homophobic thing about a family that I told the boss. We had a three way convo and the lead teacher was still hostile after the convo. So I decided to quit without a two week. It’s like the director knew I was going too. The day after the meeting she said,” please put in a two week notice and know that the grass isn’t greener on the other side” the fuck???? I’ve had way better jobs then this one so I’m not gonna be brainwashed thinking that the grass isn’t greener on the other side. I’ve been told that when breaking up with toxic boyfriends and now I have an amazing boyfriend so the grass IS greener…

I’ve been told that when breaking up with toxic boyfriends and now I have an amazing boyfriend so the grass IS greener on the other side and that’s just a toxic saying.

Anyways, she put me back in the classroom knowing I was uncomfortable. Her daughter is LGBT+ and I confessed to the director that I was too. So I thought she was more understanding. I did not tell the lead teacher why I “turned her in” other then I was uncomfortable with what was being said. The lead teacher ended up being hostile towards me and making me feel less then. So on Thursday I just decided to quit. I have enough in savings to be jobless for a year but I already have interviews and opportunities that – I believe – will be greener on the other side!
