I’m pretty sure this recruiter is breaking the law…

I have put in two online applications to a local outlet of a corporation. When I put in the second, days after the first, I noticed that the first was marked “interviewed” in the status column, though I've not been contacted from their end in any way. I just logged in and the first job is “closed” and the second application is likewise marked “interviewed” when they've made absolutely no contact with me. I assume they knew who they wanted to hire but must conduct a certain number of interviews, however this is shady for numerous reasons- most importantly, it implies that I was given the opportunity to present myself and was found lacking, should I apply in the future. To have recorded in their official documents that they spoke/met with me when they did not feels like libel from the person who made that mark, representing me…

To have recorded in their official documents that they spoke/met with me when they did not feels like libel from the person who made that mark, representing me to the company in the future. It just feels like it implies things that have no right to be implied. Did they have to mock up my false answers to an interview questionnaire??

Nevermind that it wasted my time, the time of other applicants, and falsifies their records with government accountability (I assume some companies are required to make job openings fair and available to the public, and not lie about whether or not they actually interviewed said public).

Any input, advice, and commiseration welcome.
