People who write their own names in notebooks, have their name on little display boards all around their office space. Did you forget how to spell your name? Why do you need to see it?
People who have stuff laying around like “I'm a monarch” “I'm a queen” “I'm a boss” etc.
It sickens me working with such narcissistic people. They're all business majors or have taken some business classes, and narcissism is higher among business students.
How much does leadership mean it when they say “We want you to succeed”? No, I don't think they do. I think they just want a good little worker to diligently do work so they can get credit for it, because they only intervene when someone is doing “badly” (aka not meeting their ridiculous standards.
They're in meetings all day trying to “better the organization” instead of being among their people and seeing if anyone needs anything.
“Oh I have an open door policy! They could have come to me!” Bullshit. Open door policies don't work. Come down to your people, or are you so high up you forgot what it's like to be at the bottom?
