I’m the only one on today?

I was working at a local Sonic drive in. But I'm getting ahead of myself already. It took 3 weeks to get through the interview process because she (The owner of the fucking store) kept setting up times for us to meet and then not showing the fuck up at all when I arrived early. So by the time I even got the fucking job, I was fed up with the place. After finally getting to work, they proceeded to put me on 2 days a week. I wasn't supposed to be working part time. I specifically asked to be working full time. This went on for about month, since I figured I would get more hours as the days went on. No dice.

No dice.

One day, I came in to work as a usually did, when I noticed something strange. There was nobody in the kitchen. I was the only one on the clock for the kitchen for my entire 8 hour shift. Not only that, but they had three cashiers up front. I was expected to work for hours straight on my own in the kitchen. Whenever I struggled, one of the general managers would walk over looking annoyed and proceed to actually help for about 10 minutes, complaining about me the whole time. Then, I was on my own again. Yes, I said one of the general managers. There were two in there at the time, as well as the three cashiers. So there are six people total (including me), and I am the only one in the kitchen.

When it was dying down for a bit, I asked if I could go on break. They were upset because I was the only person in the kitchen they had. In my mind, I'm thinking “How is that not YOUR FAULT?” Eventually, after some convincing, I managed to get on break. Instead, I decided to stick it to them. I drove off and never looked back, I texted the manager saying that I quit “because of absolutely abhorrent management” and promptly blocked her number.

Now my parents are badgering me about a new job, but I don't fucking care. My time is worth more than this, and this job has wasted the majority of my summer. One of the employees I worked with said “If I could buy this place, I would and demote (owner of the restaurant) down to minimum wage.”
