I’m thinking about quitting

I hit two and a half years with my corporate job. And it’s not one of those positions where you stroll in at 9, send a couple emails, eat a free lunch then leave at 3. It’s a bottom-of-the-barrel facilities position. I am here before most, and I leave after most. I think what made me want to quit is the fact that I covered a position for 9 months out of the last year, and got a 36¢ raise for it. 36 whole cents for essentially working two jobs. I work for a company with a market cap of $51 billion, a CEO who made $89 million in 2022, and the best they can do for me is 36 cents. I do my job. Could I do better? Absolutely. Do I want to? I do my job. Could I do better? Absolutely. Do I want to? Not one bit. My boss doesn’t help either, she used to be a prison guard and treats us like inmates instead of employees and I am just so tired of it.

I did some math, I can live for about four months with no job and only go through half of my savings. I just want to leave today and take all of that time off to reset and really decide on what I want to do.
