I'm done with these businesses that think it's ok to put one thing in the job post and then try to sell you an entirely different one when it comes down to hiring you. I continue to be unemployed because I can't get screwed like that. It's literally screwing me, every time. One was an almost 50% wage cut on a call today. They advertised $20 an hour so I applied thinking I would get that. They call and have the nerve to ask me if $13 and possible commission is ok instead because “things have changed from the listing”. I think the annoyance in my tone of voice came through when I declined. I applied for that listing. I didn't apply for a hugely lesser offer. It was also more hours. Full time instead of part time now. This is another common switch they try. Dragging the benefits out from under you and asking if that's ok has been one I've experienced and I just said I was no longer interested. I also get the remote job offer until it comes up that oh they need me to move to some other city to come to the office every day instead because the remote job doesn't exist. They think I'm just desperate to work, well I am not. They can burn in hell if they think lying to me is going to go anywhere, or trying to play games. I do not play games. I don't do tricks. If you even try to screw me, which this clearly is when you offer something and pull the rug expecting me to take it, I will never do business with you and tell everyone else I know not to, because obviously you're dishonest and probably treat customers the same, cheating them in some manner too.
