I’m up for a “promotion” that comes with a ~20k pay decrease

I’m currently a bartender looking to grow with the company I’m working for, so when a management position opened I threw my application in and to my surprise I’m one of the top candidates. I was originally thankful and feeling like I’d be able to start making positive changes for people who currently work side by side with me, but I found out last that I’m actually actually losing a great deal of money if I take it. I know that in the long run my pay would be much better in managing than the fairly consistent/no raise as a bartender but it’s a drastic step back to start that path. Thoughts?
