In need of advice
Hey guys, I’ve been a lurker here for a bit but I’m in need of some advice right now. I suffer from migraines, and they’re debilitating to the extent that I can’t work, I have to lay in my room and sleep as best as I can. I have medication for it but it doesn’t work most of the time and even if it does it takes a few hours to kick in fully. I’ve been at my current hotel job for nearly a year, I told HR and my GM as soon as I started that they happen and I can’t control or do anything really except take my medicine and hope for the best. I haven’t gotten a single raise while all my other coworkers have, and my one manager who’s my friend said that is the biggest reason. They also stated that another reason is because I’ve been called rude in a few recent reviews. I’ll admit every once in a while I can be a bit rude but that’s when people are rude to me first, and usually I’m pretty straightforward not necessarily rude. I would understand not getting any raises or anything after being talked to or discussed with, but my GM hasn’t discussed literally anything with me ever. She even tells me on a daily how well I handle situations and guests. I just don’t know if I want to stay at a job that does things like this and people who act like this. The company itself is also pretty ass, but I’ve dealt with it for a while now. The hours are also pretty bad at least for me. I work mornings and I’m very much not a morning person but I’ve only ever told my manager friend and not the GM so it’s not a real complaint Any advice?
