I know it’s in Portuguese but it reads:
Boss: Are you on PTO?
Me: Yes, but I am able to connect remotely if necessary, do you need anything? I was going to connect to [user] to fix an issue on his VM.
Boss: All good, just checking. Have someone else on the team assist him. PTO is PTO.
I have had this manager for 3 years and I’ll do anything he asks because he always cares for all of us like this, his requests are never unreasonable. I’ve seen him stay past midnight to cover for two of us that got sick during COVID without a single comment or complaint. We just got a text from him saying, “Don’t worry, get better.”
Managers, strive to do better.
