Intrusive Management Rant

I made a post a little while ago regarding more on this topic but long story short, management MADE me go home ob multiple occasions at a new job and now they are hyperfocusing on me. I work in a place that is like every other place by the sounds of it. They are super paranoid about Covid and sickness but also get mad when you are actually sick. So really I feel it's all virtue signaling. I was made to stay home on multiple occasions (twice for having symptoms, once because my husband was positive) and then it got thrown at me that I'm “taking advantage” and have had “too many sick days.” I began to have chest congestion and had a cough. It was one of those times where you aren't sure if you are getting sick, if it's allergies etc. I said nothing (I never will again…

I said nothing (I never will again unless I'm dying) but soon enough my manager starts asking prodding questions. Asking if I find it “dry” (it's humid AF here) and if I want a humidifier?? And then going and whispering to my coworkers. It's like she thought I was faking a cough??? I hate when managers start asking invasive questions about health and symptoms like they are trying to narrow down your symptoms. I have had this happen with management so many times. I refuse to answer specifics anymore. I am unwell and that's all they need to know. I've had two managers monitor what they see me consume and then when I call in sick they attribute it to the Pepsi I had 42 days ago. I'm glad to see more people feel this way and are setting boundaries.
