Hey all
I just got laid off last friday (shitty way to start my weekend) from my first job before even a year. Many of my colleagues suffered the same fate. We worked in a fortune 500 as contractors.
I never believed anyone when they told me the bottom 5% is the first to go. But hey, live and learn.
I've wasted no time updating my resume and applying to new positions. It's been two days and I'm hopeful. I even have the AZ-900 cert under my belt and am in the last semester for my M.S in comp sci with concent in web dev.
I feel a bit lost tbh. The privileges I once had will be gone if I can't find work soon. I've saved some money but just dumped over 10k in paying back my grad loans and now I wish I would have waited knowing I'll be unemployed. Sorry for the rambling but some positive affirmations or encouragement would help.
