I'm not sure where this entire thing comes from but I'm so tired of it…no, not all of us in our thirties are thriving financially, far from it. A lot of us are struggling as hell, EVEN with decent wages.
I'm still in a tremendous amount of student debt, I'm barely surviving AND I know a lot of people who are in the same situation : this isn't due to me being lazy, this isn't because I'm not careful with my finances (spoiler : I am), it's simply because I CAN'T do otherwise !
So yeah, the whole myth of being 30+ and having solved all of our financial issues and being able to enjoy life is exactly that : a myth. The truth is I'm not more financially secure that I was in my twenties, I'm just a hell of a lot wiser.
Anyone else annoyed by this pressure we're constantly dealing with even though we're doing everything we can to go on?
Sorry if it sounded like a bit of a rant…
