Genuine question, is every company just all about themselves making money and do not care about employees they are just a number.
I work in Australia in the trade industry for over 10 years now. For a few years I was working for a small business and got worked to the bone, a lot of after hours not paid correctly, never a pay slip and calls/messages no matter what time or day. I figured okay that’s the way of small business. I’m leaving and my next job will be for a bigger company.
Now I work for a company that is very large, been operating for over 100 years. All privately owned and owned by one family. And now I’m fighting them just to have my long service recorded. They are fighting me tooth and nail, not to have it paid out, just correctly recorded! Which is state legislation.
Is there’s a light anywhere? Or am I just jaded?
