Is it legal for a business to work someone over 10 hrs with only 1 break?

So for context my husband works in Upstate New York for a growing butcher business. I am pregnant right now and not working due to that but I bring him his lunch every day and pick him up from work. When he got the job he was told it was a 7-5 job with a 30 min lunch break at noon.
