Is it normal for an employer to itemise what you would have made if you didn’t take sick days?

I work for a sub contractor to a government contractor (best way to describe it). It’s a full time job processing passports. I get medical benefits but no pto for a year or sick. A month ago I took a few days sick as i was actually sick. My employer (the subcontractor) emailed me showing me how much money I could have made if I had not taken unpaid time off. I have never seen this in even minimum wage jobs. They then gave me some mental help resources and told me to be on time for work. My work hasn’t sat me down and said anything about me taking a few days, only my subcontractor whose states away from me. Has this ever happened to you before?
