Is it okay to ask a company in an interview if they use employee monitoring software?

As a remote worker of a smallish company that did not ask this and does not obviously notice any monitoring software, I contemplate asking and contemplate if I should’ve asked in the interview process. In general, do you think this would be an odd question to ask in an interview? I think we definitely have a right to know in what ways we’re “agreeing” to be monitored and I know tactics get more sneaky as time goes on. What do you think? Also, if anyone has asked this, how did it go?
