Is it worth it to stay in a position

I’ve had a rocky start to learning a new position. The stress in the last two weeks of doing it independently has really impacted my mental well-being & knowing I’m performing poorly makes it worse. I believe part of the issue is that I have no pm skills and I’m learning from someone that came into the position as a strong former pm, so it’s taking me a while to catch on when they think I should have it already. It’s not as a pm, just that I think the pm skills help greatly for this position. When I think of even doing one more item related the position my chest starts to hurt and I feel like I stop breathing, I didn’t know I could dread it this much. I come from a computer science background and had taken an analyst position to see if I would like it more than coding; I didn’t. This new position is even more in the opposite direction of what I want to do.

Is it worth it to stick around trying to adjust with all of these issues and conflict just for a decent salary?
