I have been with my current company for 1 year, but I have worked in the same industry for 5 years now.
I recently graduated with my Master’s degree and applied to several senior roles to check out the market after hearing a senior coworker complain about what they should be making. I currently make $55K and got an offer for $82K. The new company is a Fortune 500 in a different industry. Is it worth leaving a place where I like my coworkers and WFH hybrid for more money?
During my review a few months ago, I asked my manager about moving up and was told I would not be a senior for awhile. Also, since I’ve been with my new company, I have always been told I don’t have enough experience, so there has not been that many opportunities at my current company. I also received a job offer from my previous employer after the person who replaced me quit a few months ago and was told I was asking for too much when I asked for $68K to come back.
I like what I am currently doing at my job and love my coworkers. Is it worth leaving for a new job for more money that is not WFH hybrid expect 1-4 times a month and also works over 12 hours during these 1-4 times a month (during month end close)?
