is my employer trying to screw me over?

alright so for labor law context, i live in MN. I’ve been working at this company for 2 years (food service), we are under a parent company that operates multiple different stores in malls. Now originally I started at just one of the stores, around holidays last year my hours were cut and i was given the option to work at a different store in the same mall and be cross-trained on an entirely different thing (still food service). I ended up staying there and now i do both stores every week. Well about a month ago, i got a promotion at the 2nd store, i’m the ASM and i got a raise for it as well. I ended up staying there and now i do both stores every week. Well about a month ago, i got a promotion at the 2nd store, i’m the ASM and i got a raise for it as well. Since both stores are owned by the same parent company we were paid through the same provider and i would get 2 checks every pay period. 2 Weeks ago, the company changed our payroll provider, for some reason this new pay system cannot log me as working at two different stores, my info was merged and my pay defaulted to my raised ASM pay. It’s been a whole shitshow for a variety of other reasons but the main issue right now is that one of my bosses can’t schedule me and the other one has to approve my punches for the 2nd job. Corporate is now trying to say there is no solution to fix this or have me operate 2 different user accounts for each job due to the fact they claim “it’s against labor law to have 2 different wages for the same company.”

This makes no sense to me since it wasn’t ever an issue with our previous payroll provider and because i work 2 different rolls at 2 completely different stores even though they do operate under the same parent company. Am i in the wrong? Is it actually illegal??
