My boss has been treating me and my former coworker like trash for over a year with it getting worse and worse as of late. He fired my coworker (my then manager) with absolutely no warning and refused to cash out his PTO. I had to spend over an hour on my day off convincing him to promote me to be the manager since I had worked there for over a year already would be a better choice than what he wanted to do which was hire someone completely new and have me train them. I couldn't quit then because I didn't have a job lined up. I'm the only person that works this location and the other locations the company has are in another state. They haven't hired anyone else or even posted the job even though they kept saying they would for the last 3 months. He's also been looming over my head that he's going to fire me unless more people come into the store. I work at a phone store that tries to do whatever they can so they don't have to pay you the commission you earn by convenitnetly moving goalposts when you finally hit the minimum sales they require to actually earn commission. I'll stop ranting but there is much more this guy does and doesn't do. I finally have a job lined up and my current plan is to quit the day I start my new job and forget about the 2 week notice thing and let them clean up their own mess. This is because on our last call he told me he needed me to do much more work and that he was essentially still going to fire me next month regardless. I just want to make sure I wouldn't be missing out on anything by not doing a 2 week notice. Also any reccomendations for making this even harder on him without being too much of a dick?
