Is there something inherently more stressful about modern work?

I feel like the vibes at work have shifted. more people are constantly stressed, seeking to change jobs etc. The article below discusses these points – anecdotally, a lot of people seem to be constantly leaving/changing their jobs – the ones who are staying in their jobs are often handcuffed, waiting for a big payout, rather than because they like their job, particularly in tech – job satisfaction seems lower – we can be reached at all hours Have you guys noticed these things?
