My company is merging with their competitors and I’ve been put on a PIP while a few other coworkers have been put on a pip/got written up too. My boss has been asking me about certain employees and wants me to gather intel on things they’ve done. The other day he asked for an email announcement sent out months ago. I told him I didn’t have it and this made me realize that I shouldn’t help him anymore. The sudden uptick in cases reported has got me concerned for job security of myself and my coworkers. I’ve decided that if it doesn’t benefit me I’m not going to help him find emails/dirt on people anymore. I’m going to stay in my own lane and get myself a better job.
Am I tin-foiling too hard when I think they’re trying to get rid of us?
But yeah if your company has acquired a company or two this year make sure you do your job and not make any mistakes. It’s too late for me and I can only protect you for so long.
