I just started a trash collecting job for a valet service about 3 weeks ago, buts it’s not really for me. So, I found a new job and I’m supposed to start this weekend but I haven’t let my current employer know yet. I was planning on texting him this, “Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I found a new job that works better for me personally. The hours will be intervening with this valet job, so I’ll have to step down unfortunately. I won’t be starting until this weekend, so I can still finish out the week for you guys. I’m sorry for the late notice, I just found out today.” I know I should probably call, but I haven’t been working there long enough in my opinion to call. I basically have 4 days to let him know, instead of putting in a 2 week notice. Is all this okay to do??
