Is this corporate guilt justified?

This feels like the right place for this q because I think this is mostly manufactured guilt but, idk. I’ve been with my current company for a few years. Started in sales, now I’m in a new dept. unrelated to sales. In preparation for the transition, I let all of my customers know I would no longer be in sales and Care would be their main poc for questions and new rep would be their poc for sales. I used my personal phone for most of my time in sales (NEVER do this) but had switched to a work phone in my last 4 months in sales. I used my personal phone for most of my time in sales (NEVER do this) but had switched to a work phone in my last 4 months in sales. Because of this, though, some people had my personal number in addition to my work number (which no longer exists).
I used to go above and beyond for my customers—which is partially why I got so burnt out in sales. It was a 24/7 job. Now, in this new dept I have been told supporting sales customers is not my responsibility and I need to focus on my job. However…I still work at this company. So when my old customers reach out to me on my personal phone I feel SO guilty. For the first six months in this new department, I would just suck it up and help them anyways. But 9 times out of 10., It ended up being something that took up way too much of my time and attention, and wasn’t even my job to assist with when I was in sales (!!!). This year, I have made it a goal to Not go above and beyond in any regard that falls outside of my scope of responsibility. So, I decided, that includes just not answering those texts. They are on my personal device after all. But I can’t help but feel incredibly guilty. Should I just suck it up and either assist folks or point them in the direction of 24/7 care—both requiring responding on my personal device? Or should I continue not responding because it’s not my f’ing job? I have been conditioned to do the former…but I don’t think that’s right. Thoughts?
