I work in a private practice mental health facility. There’s doctors, NP’s, therapist, techs and coordinators. I’m a tech & coordinator and was given health insurance rates that were absurdly high for shit coverage. I turned it down, as did a few other coworkers. Today I was talking with a newly hired NP and she informs me she’s going with the “free” health insurance option. Free??? She shows me her rates, and her top tier plan was CHEAPER than my lowest offer.. My cheapest plan was for the HMO & it was 200 a month. Her HMO was free.
Is it normal for different roles to be given different rates? Such drastic differences at that.
